After 21 years in the basement waterproofing business, Mr. Jerome Fokas, owner of Select Basement Waterproofing was looking for a better way to detect and control water leaks before a finished basement gets destroyed or or before mold and mildew start to grow.
His research led to the development of the Dual Seal Drain™ system, which keeps leaks in the top drain and can be tied to any pre-existing basement drainage system, adding an extra layer of protection. The Dual Seal Drain™ system contains leaks by collecting water that comes through the basement walls and from pipes, diverting it to the sump pump.
The Dual Seal Drain™ system also contains vapors and radon gas before it enters your basement, being a great addition to any waterproofing system. Dual Seal Drain™ allows for proper drainage without interfering with a radon mitigation system’s effectiveness.

Adding any one of the two leak monitors we offer to the system, will alert homeowners if a leak occurs and pinpoint the approximate location. Homeowners can then have it promptly investigated and addressed by a waterproofer or foundation professional.
The Dual Seal Drain™ does not replace a regular basement drainage system or French Drain but it works with all of them to give homeowners some extra peace of mind. Especially to those who have or intend to build a finished basement.
